Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a short-range communications technology that allows you to connect wirelessly to a
number of Bluetooth phones, such as headsets and hands-free car kits, and Bluetooth-enabled
handhelds, computers, printers, and wireless phones. The Bluetooth communication range is
usually up to approximately 30 feet.

Turning Bluetooth On and Off

Before using Bluetooth, you must turn it on. By default, your phone

’s Bluetooth feature is set to

Off

. Turning Bluetooth on makes your phone “discoverable” by other in-range Bluetooth phones.

To turn Bluetooth on:

1. Press

> Settings/Tools > Tools > Bluetooth.

2. Highlight On and press

to enable Bluetooth.

To turn Bluetooth off:

1. Press

> Settings/Tools > Tools > Bluetooth.

2. Highlight Off and press

to enable Bluetooth.

Using the Bluetooth Settings Menu

The Bluetooth menu allows you to set up many of the characteristics of

your phone’s Bluetooth

service. These include:

● Entering or changing the name your phone uses for Bluetooth communication.

● Setting your phone’s visibility (or “discoverability”) for other Bluetooth phones.

● Displaying your phone’s Bluetooth address.

To access the Bluetooth Settings menu:

1. Press

> Settings/Tools > Tools > Bluetooth.

2. Set your Bluetooth options.

 Highlight My Bluetooth Info and press EDIT (left softkey) to rename your phone for

Bluetooth.

 Select Visibility > Always Visible, Visible for 3 Min, or Hidden to set your

Bluetooth visibility.
