External (Sub) LCD
The external (Sub) LCD is the full-color display that can be
used when the flip is closed. The external LCD displays caller
information, signal and battery strength, as well as other
indicators of status. You can even use the external LCD as a
viewfinder for the camera when taking pix with the flip closed.
• To turn on the backlight for the external LCD, which
allows you to view the display in full-color, just press and
hold either of the volume keys.
• To take a picture with the flip closed, press and hold the
camera hot key (
) on the right side of the phone.
The camera activates and the external LCD acts as a
viewfinder. To snap a picture, just press the camera hot
key (
) again.
