Selecting a Site
Be sure to observe the following requirements when choosing a
site for your chassis.
ˆ Make sure you are placing the chassis in a dust-free and
moisture-free environment.
ˆ Do not block the ventilation openings on the unit. Allow at
least 10 centimeters (4 inches) of space at the front and back
of the unit for ventilation.
ˆ Make sure that the chassis’ power is accessible and cables
can be connected easily.
ˆ Cabling should be away from sources of electrical noise such
as radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers, power lines,
and fluorescent fixtures.
ˆ Do not place objects on top of the chassis.
ˆ Use dedicated power circuits or power conditioners to supply
power to the chassis.
