MONITOR

The Monitor screen displays the servo positions for each channel graphically and
numerically. This is useful to verify programming functions, trim settings, mix
directions, etc. The numeric value is directly relative to the travel adjust and mix
values (e.g., 100% travel adjust equals 100% value in the Monitor).
To Access the Monitor screen
With the transmitter on and the main or telemetry screen displayed, press the
roller. The Function list will display.

Rotate the roller to highlight Monitor then press to access.

Problem

Possible Cause

Solution

• The system will not

connect

• Your transmitter and receiver are too close

together. They should be 8 to 12 feet apart.

• You are around metal objects.

• Model selected is not the model bound to.

• Your transmitter was accidentally put into

bind mode and is not bound to your receiver

anymore.

• Move transmitter 8 to 12 feet from receiver.

• Move to an area with less metal.

• Check model selected and ensure you are bound

to that model.

• Rebind your transmitter and receiver.

• The receiver goes into

failsafe mode a short

distance away from the

transmitter

• Check the receiver antenna to be sure it is not

cut or damaged.

• Main and remote receivers too close together

• Replace or contact Horizon Product Support

• Mount main and remote receivers at least 2

inches apart and perpendicular to each other.

• Receiver quits responding

during operation

• Inadequate battery voltage

• Loose or damaged wires or connectos between

battery and receiver

• Charge batteries. Spektrum receivers require

at least 3.5V to operate. An inadequate power

supply can allow voltage to momentarily drop

below 3.5V and cause the receiver to brown out

and reconnect.

• Check the wires and connection between battery

and receiver. Repair or replace wires and/or

connectors

• Receiver loses its bind

• Transmitter stand or tray could be depressing

the bind button

• Bind button pressed before transmitter turned

on

• If stand is depressing bind button, remove from

stand and rebind.

• Rebind your system following binding

instructions

• Receiver blinking at

landing

• A brownout has occurred

• System turned on and connected then receiver

turned off without turning off transmitter

• Check battery voltage

• Turn off transmitter when receiver is turned off

• RPM won’t read/display

• Sensor too close to backplate; picking up tip of

crank pin only

• Move sensors away from backplate

• Temperature sensor seems

to read low

• Temperature sensor mounted on front of

cylinder head being hit by direct prop blast

• Mount sensor behind cylinder head. When

installing sensors note engine temperature

with engine properly tuned. Use this as

reference value. If temperature goes above this

significantly, the engine is running too low
