right mouse button and select Proper-
ties from the menu that appears.
1 Display the “System Properties” dialog

Select Control Panel from the Start
menu, open Performance and Main-
tenance, and click System.
2 Open the Device Manager
Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional
Open the “Hardware” panel and click the Device Manager button.
Windows Me
Click the “Device Manager” tab.
3 Check the IEEE 1394 host controller
Confi rm that “NEC Firewarden OHCI
Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller”
is listed under “IEEE 1394 Bus host con-
trollers” (Windows XP, Windows 2000
Professional) or “1394 Bus Controller”
(Windows Me).
