Taking a Closer Look: Playback Zoom
Press the button to zoom in on the im age
displayed in single-image playback or on the im-
age currently highlighted in thumbnail playback.
The following operations can be performed while
zoom is in effect:

frame—rotate dial counterclockwise to zoom out,
clockwise to zoom in to maximum of approximately
4.7× (large images), 3.5× (medium images), or 2.4×
(small images). Release
button to magnify se-
lected area to fi ll monitor.
View other
images
Rotate command dial to view same area of other im-
ages at current zoom ratio.
View other
areas of image
Use multi selector to view ar ea not visible in monitor.
Hold multi selector down to scroll rapidly to other
ar eas of frame.
Cancel zoom ( )
Cancel zoom and return to single-image or thumb nail
playback.
Delete photo Delete photograph ( 57).
Protect photo Protect photograph ( 56).
Return to
shooting
mode
Shutter

To turn monitor off and return to shooting mode,
press
button or press shutter-release button
halfway.
