Continuous

Change settings to Continuous or BSS (best shot selector). Flash will be switched
off when Continuous, BSS or Multi-shot 16 is selected. Focus, exposure and
white balance are fixed at the values for the first picture in each series.

At settings other than Single, the indicator for the current setting is displayed in
the monitor (

A 9).

B

Note on Continuous Shooting

The maximum frame rate with continuous shooting may vary, depending upon the current image

mode setting and the memory card used.

Digital zoom is not available when Multi-shot 16 is selected.

B

Note on BSS

BSS may not produce the desired results if the subject moves or the composition changes while the
shutter-release button is pressed all the way down.

U

Single (default setting)

One picture is taken each time the shutter-release button is pressed.

V

Continuous

While the shutter-release button is held down, up to 7 pictures are taken at a rate of
about 1.2 frames per second (fps) when Image mode is set to i Normal (3648).

D

BSS (Best Shot Selector)

BSS is recommended for shooting under low lighting without the flash, with the
camera zoomed in, or in other situations in which camera shake is likely to blur
pictures.
The camera takes up to ten pictures while the shutter-release button is held down.
The sharpest picture (picture with the most detail) in the series is automatically
selected and saved.

W

Multi-shot 16

Each time the shutter-release button is pressed, the camera
takes 16 shots at about 1.5 frames per second and arranges
them in a single picture with Image mode setting set to L
Normal (2592).

X

Intvl timer shooting

The camera takes pictures (up to 1,800 frames) automatically at specified interval
(

A 122).
