If the monitor is turned off in standby mode to save power, press the power switch
or the shutter-release button to turn the monitor on (

Note on the Flash

When the built-in flash is lowered, the flash setting is fixed to off and W appears at the top of the
monitor. In situations where flash is needed, such as in dark locations or when the subject is backlit,
be sure to raise the built-in flash (

A35).

Functions Available in A (Auto) Mode

Focus mode (

A38) and exposure compensation (A41) can be applied and pictures can be taken

using the flash mode (

A34) and self-timer (A37).

Pressing the

d button allows you to specify settings for the shooting menu options Image

quality (

A75) and Image size (A76).

Vibration Reduction

Set Vibration reduction to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting.
