The self-timer and ML-L3 remote control (supplied; 42) can be used for
self-portraits or to avoid blurring that may result from the camera moving
when the shutter-release button is pressed.

Start timer. Beep sounds when timer
starts; timer in shooting display counts
down until shutter is released. To stop
timer before picture is taken, press
( ) button or press shutter-release
button again.
