Manual programming of the television set
1. Switch on the television set with which you want to use the remote control.
2. Direct the remote control towards the television set. Press and hold the TV button for 3 seconds.
3. The POWER button on the remote control will light up. This means that the RCU640 is in
programming mode.
4. Press the POWER button more or less every 1.5 seconds. The POWER button should flash, which
means that the RCU640 is in programming mode.
5. Immediately after the television set is switched off, press the OK or TV button in order to
complete manual programming. The POWER button on the remote control will go out.
6. Check the operation of the buttons of the remote control. If the majority of buttons do not
function correctly, continue manual programming, i.e. continue to press the POWER button every
1.5 seconds (steps 4 and 5)
Note: Manual programming will be interrupted automatically if nothing is entered within 15 seconds.
Note: In the programming mode, ONLY the POWER, OK, LEFT, RIGHT and TV buttons are available.
The remaining buttons are inactive.
Note: Manual programming checks the codes in descending order (from the current code). Using the
LEFT (descending) and RIGHT (ascending) buttons you can change the search direction.
Reading the current television code
You can read the code of your television set programmed in the remote control by executing the
following steps.
1. Press and hold the TV button. Simultaneously press the 1 button in order to display the first
digit of the 4-digit code (thousands digit). Calculate the number of times the POWER diode
flashes. If none, this means zero.
2. Press and hold the TV button. Simultaneously press the 2 button in order to display the
second digit of the 4-digit code (hundreds digit).
3. Press and hold the TV button. Simultaneously press the 3 button in order to display the third
digit of the 4-digit code (tenths digit).
4. Press and hold the TV button. Simultaneously press the 4 button in order to display the
fourth digit of the 4-digit code (unity digit).
An example code is 0075:
1. Press the TV button and 1 - the LED will not flash.
2. Press the TV button and 2 - the LED will not flash.
3. Press the TV button and 3 - the LED will flash seven times.
4. Press the TV button and 4 - the LED will flash five times.
Deleting television settings
1. Press and hold the TV button for 3 seconds. The POWER button on the remote control will
light up.
2. Enter the 4-digit code 9990.
All of the television set's settings will be deleted, and the POWER button on the remote control
will go out.
