correctly, press the VO L+ button approx. every 1.5 seconds to initiate the reactive code (manual search is continued,

see steps 4 to 5).

N O T E :

Sometime, remote control does not work properly just because Manual search does not stop in time. In this

case, just enter into Manual search again, and press Vol– button approx. every 1.5 seconds to search backward the

code.

N O T E :

The Manual Search is automatically terminated if no entry occurs during a 10 second period.

N O T E :

Entering the auto searching mode, it will search forward from the current code.

L e a r nin g F u n c tion

The Learning feature is used to supplement the preprogrammed code list. The standard code list may provide most of

the functions needed, but you can add a small number of additional functions for your remote control. You can add a

new code from a new original remote control.

1.Press B L U E button on RCU-640 without releasing, and then, press T V button. The POWER button lights up and the

remote control is in learning mode.

2.Point the IR transmitter of the original TV remote control remotes face to the IR receiver of RCU-640 by approximately

30 mm apart. Keep two remotes at the same straight line to make the learning process more accurate.

3.Press any button on RCU-640 which you want to learn a new code from original remote control, (For example, you

choose p button) now LED starts to flashing and RCU-640 is under learning status.

4.Press the one button (for example, p button) from your TV original remote control. When POWER button on RCU-640

flashes three times and stop, it means RCU-640 has accepted new code and now you can start to learn another new

code from original TV remote.

5.Repeat step 3 to 4 to learn another code from TV original remote control.

6.When you finish learning all buttons, press T V button to save all learnt from original TV remote codes.

N O T E :

Only TV device have Learning Function. You can not learn any new code for DVD, AMP, and SAT.

N O T E :

Total 13 or 30 buttons (depending on RCU revision) can be used for learning new codes.

N O T E :

If you want to replace the code you have learnt into RCU-640, just learn a new code from original TV remote
