Added functionality for your shooting convenience

Soften skin and tame unsightly wrinkles and
blemishes. The pros’ choice when shooting
portraits to make people look their best.
Adjustable in three levels.

Capture a dramatic landscape or cityscape. Just
swing the camera when shooting then play
back on the LCD screen or wide-screen TV.

Decrease contrast in scenes with extremely dark and light areas. Well suited for stationary
subjects, Auto HDR mode combines three images — one each for highlights, mid-tones and
shadows — to produce one photo that closely resembles the scene as you saw it. DRO takes
only one shot, but can be used for lowering contrast in photos with moving subjects and
when using continuous shooting.

Improve manual focusing accuracy by
magnifying the scene 4.8x or 9.6x on the
LCD screen. A must have when shooting
macro shots or with the aperture wide open.

Connect NEX-3N to a PC or AC outlet via the
bundled USB cable to charge the battery
without removing it
from the camera.

Quickly confirm focus in the composition. A
highlight — adjustable over three settings
each for sensitivity level and color — appears
over areas that are focused.

Set NEX-3N to recognize faces and smiles.
Face Detection locates up to eight faces in
a composition then adjusts exposure, white
balance and other settings based on these
faces. Smile Shutter — adjustable in three
levels — automatically takes a shot when
smiles in the scene are at their brightest.

Tailor the look of photos and movies before
shooting. Choose from one of six settings —
Standard, Vivid, Portrait, Landscape, Sunset
or Black & White — depending on the scene
or your creative intent.

Freeze fast-moving subjects by shooting
at up to 4 fps. This is the ideal solution for
photographing sports, children at play or
other action.

Employing Sony image compositing technology, these two modes deliver superb photos
with reduced noise and blur when shooting handheld in low-light environments. Anti Motion
Blur mode is especially useful for decreasing blur caused by camera shake and subject
movement while Hand-held Twilight mode balances exposure between the main subject and
background for pleasing nighttime photos.
