To check the remaining battery .... qf

Set the POWER switch to OFF (CHG), then
press DISP/BATT INFO qf. If you press this
button once, BATTERY INFO appears on the
screen for about seven seconds. Press the
button while BATTERY INFO appears on the
screen to extend the indication to the 20-
second maximum.

To check available free hard disk space

Press RESET qa to initialize all the
settings, including settings for date and
time. (Setup items customized on Personal
Menu are not initialized.)

7 Built-in stereo microphone

When an external microphone (optional) is
connected, it takes precedence over the internal
microphone (DCR-SR60/SR80).

8 Remote sensor (DCR-SR60/SR80)

Point the Remote Commander (p.41) towards
the remote sensor to operate your camcorder.

9 Recording lamp (DCR-SR60/SR80)

The recording lamp lights up red during
recording (p.62).
The lamp flashes when the remaining capacity
for the battery or the hard disk of the camcorder
is running low.

qd Speaker

Sound comes out from the speaker while
playing back.
