2 Inserting the battery pack/a “Memory Stick Duo” (not
supplied)
1 Open the battery/“Memory Stick Duo” cover.
2 Insert the “Memory Stick Duo” (not supplied) all the way in until it clicks.
3 Confirm the correct direction and then insert the battery pack.
4 Close the battery/“Memory Stick Duo” cover.
[ When there is no “Memory Stick Duo” inserted
The camera records/plays back images using the internal memory (approx. 56 MB).
[ To check the remaining battery time
Open the lens cover or press the POWER button to turn on and check the time on the LCD
screen.

Align the v mark of the battery slot with the
v marks on the side of the battery pack.
Press and hold the battery eject lever and
insert the battery pack.
• It takes about one minute until the correct battery
remaining time appears.
• The displayed time remaining may not be correct under
certain circumstances.
• When you turn on the power for the first time, the Clock
Set screen appears (page 12).
