Connecting an i.LINK device 49

installation and use.
You can only connect one digital video camera recorder at a time. The software limits the
use of more than one digital video camera recorder or i.LINK device at the same time.
The i.LINK connector does not supply power to external devices. If the external device
requires power from the i.LINK connector, you cannot use the device with your computer.
The VAIO 505 SuperSlim notebook supports transfer rates up to 400 Mbps; however, the
actual transfer rate varies according to the transfer rate of the external device.
The i.LINK features available may vary depending on the software applications you use. See
the documentation that came with your software for more information.
See page 29 for a list of i.LINK cables compatible with your VAIO 505 SuperSlim notebook.
Be sure to use 400 Mbps rate cables.
