How to empty the dust compartment

IMPORTANT: Empty the dust compartment when it is full, the

suction power seems to be bad or pulling the mains
lead seems not to be smooth.

NOTE: When vacuuming fi ne dust, such as powder or similar, there

may be a loss of suction power. If this happens, empty the
dust compartment and check for possible dust trapped on
fi lters.

In case the suction power does not recover, we recommend to
maintain the dust compartment.

Remove the dust compartment

Pull up the front of the dust compartment handle and
separate dust compartment from main body.

IMPORTANT: Don't pull up the back of the dust compartment

handle so as not to lift up the main body.

Rotate the handle gear about fi ve times.

Remove central partition with fi lters pulling it out.

Empty dust compartment.

Place central partition with fi lters into dust compartment.

Set dust compartment into main body.

Return dust compartment handle to an original position.

( Press until it “clicks” )

Maintaining the main Filter

Remove the screw by turning it, and take the prefi lter off.

Remove the main fi lter by pushing the lever of the beater.

Remove dust accumulated in the main fi lter by tapping it
against a hard surface.

NOTE: Don't brush the main fi lter, rinse outside of fi lter with

water and allow it to dry thoroughly before replacing.

IMPORTANT: Deformation of the sealpacking may result

in escape of the fi ne dust. Dry the main fi lter
putting the sealpacking of the main fi lter
upward.

Reinstall the main fi lter by pushing the lever of the beater.

Reinstall the pre-fi lter and the screw.

Floor nozzle

D-10 Inspect once a month.

Using an old toothbrush or similar tool, clean any dirt or lint
from the brush.

Turbine nozzle

D-11 After removing the brush cover with a coin, remove the

beater bar from the belt.

Then cut across threads, strings, hairs, etc. from the
beater bar with a pair of scissors. (Reinstall as per reverse
procedure)

NOTE: Take care not to cut the brush.

Do not wash in water.

CAUTIONS

• The plug must be removed from the socket outlet before

cleaning or maintaining the appliance.

• To avoid injury, keep your fi ngers and hands away from the

beater bar.

• DO NOT use hot air or hot surface to dry fi lters. Keep at room

temperature for approximately 24 hours.

• IMPORTANT: Before re-installing the washable fi lters, make

sure they are completely dry to avoid damaging the cleaner.

Vacuum cleaner body

D-12 Wipe with a soft cloth soaked with water.

Maintaining the Pre-motor fi lter

Pull up the front of the dust compartment handle and
separate dust compartment from main body.

D-14 Remove the pre-motor fi lter.

Remove dust by tapping it against a hard surface. If dust
remains on the pre-motor fi lter, wash gently with water and
then allow to dry in a shaded location.

Replace to its original location.

NOTE: Make sure you remember to replace the fi lter. If the fi lter is

not installed, it will cause motor failure.

• Do not wash the fi lter in a washing machine or dry it with a dryer or

other source of hot air.

Maintaining the Exhaust fi lter

D-17 To change the fi lter, hold the exhaust cover (as illustrated)

and pull it out.

After changed the fi lter, set the exhaust cover to its original
location (as illustrated).

NOTE: Even if the Exhaust fi lter appears not to require replacement,

we recommend to change it once a year.

IMPORTANT: Never use the cleaner without the correct fi lters

properly installed. Failure to do so may result in
damage to the motor.

What to do if your cleaner does not work

Check that the appliance is correctly plugged in and that the socket outlet
is working. In case that the thermal cut-out device has operated, wait until
it resets after approximately 60 minutes.
If after having checked the mentioned points, the cleaner does not work,
take it to an Authorized Service Centre to be repaired.

What to do when the suction performance reduces

• Stop the cleaner and unplug from the socket outlet.
• Check whether the wands, hose and accessories are blocked or not. If

they are blocked, remove the obstruction.

• Check that the dust compartment is full. If it is full, empty it.
• Check that Pre-motor Filter or Exhaust Filter is blocked with dust. If they

are blocked, clean them out or replace.
