VLM for VMware vCloud Air

Installation Guide

a) Virtual Address: This is the IP address that will be used to access a given application

load balanced by the Virtual LoadMaster. Since the IP addresses of Virtual Services
are statically assigned, ensure to use an address that is outside of the DCHP range
for the network being used and configure necessary gateway rules per section 3.3.

b) Port: This is the network port used for communication with the VLM in order to

access the application (for example 514, 8443, 80, etc.)

c) Service Name: While optional, service name helps identify the purpose of the

Virtual Service being created.

d) Protocol: This must be the same as the protocol selected during creation of the

endpoint in the earlier section.

5. Click the Add this Virtual Service button.
6. Expand the Standard Options section.
