Connect Air Supply

Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in serious injury or death.

Indicates a practice which could result in damage to the crimper or other property damage.

Extremely high pressure system. Risk of explosive failure and flying debris.

The Quick Crimp Pneumatic Crimper is equipped with a ¼” NPT female quick-disconnect fitting.

Quick Cable recommends connecting to a clean, dry air supply that delivers 90 psig.

It is possible to operate the crimper on line pressures down to 80 psig. See the section at the end

of this manual on adjusting the Auto-Cycle settings.

Operating the Crimper

The Quick Crimp Pneumatic Crimper works through a programmed, automated cycle to crimp

a connector to a cable. Once the machine is initiated by pressing the foot pedal, the unit will

automatically complete a crimp cycle using the full force of the pneumatic cylinder. This insures

repeatability of quality crimps.

The Quick Crimp Pneumatic crimper must be securely installed on work bench that can safely

support the weight of the machine (130 lbs./59 Kg) and other items that may be used with or

near it.

Fasten the machine to the bench top with 3 3/8” diameter bolts. Use washers to distribute

the load. See Figure 1.
