The Golight® Stryker™ HID is a 2-Speed Searchlight with

Directional Flexibility which gives the operator a full 370° hori-

zontal rotation and a 135° vertical tilt with fingertip control. The

Stryker™ provides superior light penetration with the new HID.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

Light Unit/Permanent Mount

Determine the location for the light on your vehicle or boat. Center

the mounting plate with the vise screw on the mounting plate to

the back. Mark the hole locations for the three mounting screws

and drill a pilot hole for each with 1/8 inch bit. Fasten the

stainless steel mounting plate with the 3 #10 – 16x3/4 type AB

cross recessed pan head tapping screws. Drill a 1/4” hole (wire-

less) or a 5/8” hole (hard-wired) in the center of the mounting

plate opening to accommodate the power wire or wiring harness

and connector. Attach the connector that is affixed to the under-

side of the light to the corresponding connector on the wiring

harness (hard-wired). Position the connection point beneath the

mounting surface, and apply silicone sealant around wire to seal

the drilled opening.

Wet the mounting surface with a small amount of water or

lubricant for easier installation, then place the light over the

mounting plate by sliding the front of the light over the front of the

mounting plate, first pull the light backwards, then seat the back of

the light on to the mounting plate. Displace the back of the gasket

and install the vise screw (provided). Tighten the vise screw using a

Phillips head screwdriver. Replace the gasket.

Each spotlight needs to be wired on a single dedicated circuit and

the power fused at 10 amps. With the power connected, your light

is ready for operation. A minimum of 14 awg wire is recommended

and may need to be larger depending on total length of run.

The HID will have an initial startup amp draw of 8 amps and will

quickly scale down to a 3.5 constant draw.

Light Unit/Magnetic Mount

Select the best location on your vehicle for the magnetic mount

Stryker. Make sure the metal area under the magnetic base is flat

and clean to ensure a strong bond. Route the power cord into the

vehicle through a door frame and connect to 12V power outlet. The

magnetic mount Stryker™ HID should be removed from vehicle’s

exterior while traveling at excessive speeds and in strong wind

conditions.

Dash Control/Permanent Mount

Determine the appropriate location for the dash mount control and

create a 2 inch opening to accommodate the cylinder on the rear

of the remote. Remove the outer rubber cover and affix the control

to the dash with the four screws provided. The word ”TOP” is em-

bossed on the control and should be situated accordingly. All wiring

should be undertaken with power removed from the system. First,

attach the connector that is affixed to the control to the

corresponding connector on the wiring harness. Next, join the leads

at the remote to 12volt DC power with appropriate automotive wire

attachments; the red wire is the positive lead and the black wire

is the negative lead--the unit is polarity sensitive and care must be

taken to observe this. Note: Once power is applied to the system

the light will pan and tilt prior to bulb illumination. As a safety

feature, the control is backlit to indicate bulb illumination only.

Each spotlight needs to be wired on a single dedicated circuit and

the power fused at 10 amps. With the power connected, your light

is ready for operation.

Wireless Dash Control

If you have a wireless dash control, please note that it is vital for this

to be attached to a flat / smooth surface with the 4 mounting screws

included. The arrow under the rubber cover should point up.

BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL FOR TRANSMITTER

Remove battery cover: for wireless hand-held transmitter, remove

phillips head screw to remove cover. For wireless dash mount

remote, simply remove the exterior rubber cover. With battery

compartment now exposed, insert batteries according to the correct

polarity or gently remove batteries by grabbing the positive end and
lifting up.

PROGRAMMABLE REMOTE INSTRUCTIONS

The Golight® Stryker™ HID is controlled with a programmable

remote with 2187 different channels. This feature allows you

the freedom to change the channel selection, and the receiver

re-learns the new selection. This light has been pre-programmed

at the factory, and it is not necessary to re-program the transmitter,

unless you experience outside interference. To program transmitter:

1. IMPORTANT: Disconnect power by removing fuse or

disconnecting vehicle battery.

2. Remove battery cover from remote control.

3. Set the 7 dip switches to a selection of your choice. There are 3

positions on each; positive, negative and neutral. Use a small

screwdriver and select a position for each dip switch. *Please

note that the orientation of the +/- switch positions may vary

among different models of wireless remote controls.

4. Insert both GP 23A 12V batteries. Be sure batteries have

adequate charge.

5. Replace battery cover.

a. Depress the on/off button and hold it down. Red LED will

light.

b. While holding the on/off button down, reinstall the power

(replace fuse or connect vehicle battery).

c. Keep your finger on the on/off button for 5-6 seconds, and

then release. The light should now be programmed.

OPERATION OF STRYKER™ HID

1. Using the remote control, turn on the light by depressing the on/

off button.

2. With the joystick on the dash control, rotate your light to the

desired location.

3. The speed of the light rotation can be controlled by depressing

the fast/slow button one time and by depressing it again to

restore the original speed.
