Before Use

Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all
features and functions.
Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any
parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting
to use this tool.

INSTALLATION
• Locate your Filter Regulator & Lubricator so that the filter regulator is

closest to the air supply, and so that air flow is in direction of arrows (5)
on the top of the unit.

AIR FLOW IS FROM THE COMPRESSOR TO THE

TOOL.

• Ensure the unit will not be exposed to frost/high temperatures, hazardous

chemicals or fumes

• Mount unit securely on to solid surface vertically, so that the drain valve

(8) is at the bottom. Use wall bracket fixing positions (2) and appropriate
fixings (not supplied)

• Fit air pressure gauge (10) into the threaded hole on the body of the unit

above air filter bowl (9). Turn clockwise, NOTE: Be careful not to cross the
threads. Turn gently at first. Do not overtighten. Use PTFE tape to seal
if necessary.

• Option: You can push fit a length of suitable flexible hose to the drain valve

(8) in order to drain water into a sink or container

CONNECT TO AIR LINE
NOTE:
For maintenance purposes, ensure a suitable shut off valve is fitted
between the compressor and the Filter Regulator and Lubricator.
• Ensure that the air system is fully drained and the compressor is switched

off.

• Ensure that your air supply does not exceed the maximum pressure for

this product.

• Connect air supply from compressor to AIR IN port (11) using ¼” BSP

male fitting. Use PTFE tape to ensure an airtight seal.

• Connect air out to OUT port using ¼” BSP male fitting. Use PTFE tape to

ensure an airtight seal. Terminate line with quick connector or similar.

• Ensure air filter bowl (9) and oil bowl (7) fixing collars are screwed tight
• Switch compressor on and check for leaks. Fix any leaks before

continuing.

FILL THE OIL bOWL
• Use 6mm hex key to remove closure to oil filler (6). This is marked OIL.
• Carefully fill bowl with suitable air line oil up to max. 80% of bowl. Speak

to your air tool supplier about recommended oil for your tool. DO NOT
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE NORMAL ENGINE OIL.

• Refit closure to oil filler using hex key.

OPERATION
• Switch the air compressor on:

ADJUST THE AIR PRESSURE
• Pull regulator control knob (1) up.
• Adjust air pressure to meet requirements of the air tool you are using

(consult manufacturers tool specification).

• To reduce air pressure, turn knob anti-clockwise.
• To increase air pressure, turn knob clockwise.
• When required pressure is displayed on the pressure gauge (10), push the

regulator control knob (1) down to return it to lock position

ADJUST THE OIL DROP
• Adjust oil drop to meet requirements of the air tool you are using (consult

manufacturers tool specification).

• Using a screwdriver, turn oil adjustment valve (3) anti-clockwise to

increase amount of oil, turn valve clockwise to reduce the amount of oil

• If you change the air pressure after setting the oil drop, note that if you

increase the air flow, more oil will drop; if you decrease the air flow, less
oil will drop

Maintenance

WARNING: Ensure the air system is drained of pressure and the
compressor turned off before carrying out any maintenance work.
The air filter bowl (9) will collect moisture and dirt. It should be drained
regularly:
• Pull down on the drain valve (8) until all liquid has escaped.
• NOTE: Never let liquid within the air filter bowl to exceed the max drain

level marked on the outside of the bowl.

Periodically, remove and clean the air filter bowl:
• Carefully unscrew the air filter bowl locking ring
• Wash the bowl in warm water with a mild detergent. Do not use any

chemicals or solvents. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a clean and dry lint
free cloth before reassembling.

• Wipe clean the unit externally using a soft damp cloth.
before each use:
• Check oil level in oil bowl (7) and top up if necessary to max 80% full (see

‘Fill the oil bowl’ above)

• Do not let the oil level drop below 20% level
• Inspect the unit and air hoses for wear or damage, and replace if

necessary. Do not use damaged or leaking hoses.

Assembly Instructions
