After Windows has finished loading the software, it will announce

Configuring Windows ME
After you have connected the modem to your computer, Windows
ME will immediately display the Add New Hardware Wizard.
Click the Next Button. Step 1)
Two screens will appear briefly while Windows ME installs the
appropriate drivers. Click the Finish button once. Step 2)
After you have clicked the Finish button, Windows ME will repeat
the same process laid out in the previous steps. Once again the
above screen will appear at the end of the installation. Click Finish
to complete the configuration. Step 3)
