1.22 Options
This section describes the configuration of the options installed on this machine.
By adding options, various office needs can be satisfied.

No. Name Description
1 ADF Originals are automatically fed one by one and
scanned. Duplex originals are automatically reversed
and scanned. Up to 50 pages of originals can be load-
ed on the ADF at a time. In addition, the stack of the
sheets must not exceed the upper limit indicated by
the , mark. Otherwise, original jam, original damage, or
machine trouble may be caused. However, an original
that exceeds 50 pages can be scanned in separate
batches.
2 Authentication Unit AU-201 Performs user authentication by scanning information
recorded on the IC card.
The Working Table WT-510 is required to install the
Authentication Unit AU-201.
3 Working Table WT-510 Provides an area to temporarily place an original or
other materials. This is also used when the Authentica-
tion Unit AU-201 is installed.
4 Main unit The original is scanned by the scanner section, and the
scanned image is printed by the printer section. The
main unit is hereinafter referred to as "the machine",
"this machine", "main unit", or bizhub 42/36 through
the manual.
5 Desk DK-511 By using the Desk, you can install this machine on the
floor.
6 Paper Feed Cabinet PC-211 Allows you to load up to 500 sheets respectively in the
top and bottom trays.
7 Mount Kit MK-601 Required when installing the Finisher FS-529.
8 Finisher FS-529 Install this unit onto the output tray of the main unit to
sort, group or staple printed paper before feeding out.
No illustration is provided as the options are built into the main body.
9 Fax Kit FK-509 Allows this machine to function as a fax machine.
