3.8 Reducing electricity usage
This machine is equipped with two Power Save mode for conserving energy. Auto Power OFF Setting func-
tion which automatically turns power of this machine OFF is also installed.
Low Power mode and Sleep mode
The machine becomes in Power save mode when it is not used for a specified period of time. When the time
reaches to the one set in the Administrator Setting as the time for shifting to the Low Power mode or the Sleep
mode, the display on the panel is deleted and the machine turns to each mode. Sleep mode can save more
power than Low Power mode, but needs longer warm-up time before being ready to copy.

Manually entering a Sleep mode
Instead of waiting the specified length of time, the machine can be manually set to enter a sleep mode in
order to conserve energy. Pressing [Power Save] changes the mode to the Sleep mode.
Auto Power OFF Setting
The power of this machine can automatically be turned OFF at the time set by the administrator.

- When there is a job being executed or an accumulated job waiting to be output at the time set, the ma-
chine automatically turns OFF 5 minutes after all the jobs are completed.
