Symptom

Action

SMB printing cannot be
performed well.

Follow the procedure described below to
re-install the printer on a local computer.

1. Delete the printer icon from the printer

folder.

2. Delete the printer driver and SMB port

from the system.

3. Use the Add Printer Wizard to install the

printer as a local printer. At this time, cre-
ate a new local port, and specify the SMB
port name.

Some client functions are
not available with the Point
and Print feature when the
server is running Windows
XP/Server 2003/2000 and
the client computer is run-
ning Windows NT 4.0.

Install the printer driver directly on the client
computer.
