Change Class of Restriction (COR) by Feature Access Code (FAC)

A user with console permissions (COS) can change, via his/her telephone or
attendant console, Class of Restriction (COR) values for one or more telephones
or attendant consoles. This is done using a feature access code that has been
defined by the system administrator. After COR values for other local users have
been changed, those users will be permitted to use additional features and/or have
additional calling abilities. Previously, only a system administrator could change
COR values by using the system access terminal (SAT).

To change a COR by FAC, do the following:

1. Press the

start

button or an idle call appearance button.

You hear dial tone.

The call appearance lamp goes on.

The Position Available lamp goes off.

2. Enter the Change Class of Restriction Feature Access Code

_____ .

The system will then verify that you have COS permissions.

— If you have COS console permissions, the system will then

verify that you are local to the system.

— If you do not have COS permissions, you will hear intercept

tone, and the call will be dropped. If this is the case, press the

cancel

button, and start over again.

If the system determines that you are local to the system, continue to
Step 3.

3. If the password option is enabled, you will hear dial tone a second time.

Enter the password for the feature. If the password option is not enabled,
continue to Step 4.

If the password you entered is incorrect, you will hear intercept tone, and
the call will be dropped. If this is the case, press the

cancel

button, or hang

up, and start over again.
