EN Preparing the Camera
Inserting the battery and the
SD/SDHC memory card (sold
separately)
Always use SD/SDHC memory cards with this
camera. Do not insert any other types of memory
card.

Insert the card straight until it clicks into place.
Do not touch the contact area directly.

Turn off the camera before opening the battery/card
compartment cover.
When using the camera, be sure to close the battery/
card compartment cover.

Installing the supplied computer
software (ib)
After checking the system requirements, follow the instructions
below to connect the camera to a computer and install the
supplied computer software (ib).
System requirements
Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later)/
Windows Vista/Windows 7
Connecting the camera
Computer (on and running)
Multi-connector
USB cable (supplied)
For information on using the computer software (ib),
see the software’s online help.
1 Insert the supplied CD in a CD-ROM drive.
A setup screen will appear on the computer monitor.
2 Connect the camera to the computer.
3 Follow the on-screen instructions on your computer.

3 Press the shutter button halfway down to focus on the
subject.
When the camera focuses on the subject, the exposure is
locked (shutter speed and aperture value are displayed),
and the AF target mark changes to green.
The camera was unable to focus if the AF target mark
fl ashes red. Try focusing again.

4 To take the picture, gently press the shutter button
all the way down while being careful not to shake the
camera.
Using the fl ash
1 Select the fl ash option in the shooting function menu.
2 Use HI to select the setting option, and press the
H button to set.
Viewing images
1 Press the q button.
2 Use HI to select an image.
Erasing images during playback
(Single image erase)
1 Display the image you want to erase and press G ( D ).
2 Press FG to select [ERASE], and press the
H button.

Setting the date, time and time
zone
1 Press the n button to turn on the camera.
The date and time setting screen is displayed when the
date and time are not set.
2 Use FG to select the year for [Y].
3 Press I to save the setting for [Y].
4 As in Steps 2 and 3, use FGHI and the H button
to set [M] (month), [D] (day), [TIME] (hours and
minutes), and [Y/M/D] (date order).
5 Use HI to select your home time zone and press the
H button.
Use FG to turn daylight saving time ([SUMMER]) on
or off.
Changing the display language
1 Display the [SETUP] menu.
2 Use FG to select the r (Settings 1) tab and then
press I.
3 Use FG to select [W] and press the H button.
4 Use FGHI to select your language and press the
H button.
5 Press the m button.
Shooting with the optimum
aperture value and shutter speed
[PROGRAM AUTO]
1 Press the n button to turn on the camera.
If the [PROGRAM AUTO] indicator is not displayed,
press the m button to display the function menu
and then set the shooting mode to P.
Press the n button again to turn off the camera.
2 Hold the camera and compose the shot.

Installation du logiciel fourni (ib)
Après avoir vérifi é les exigences de système, suivez les
instructions ci-dessous pour connecter l’appareil photo à un
ordinateur, et installez le logiciel d’ordinateur fourni (ib).

1 Insérez le CD fourni dans un lecteur de CD-ROM.
Un écran de démarrage s’affi che sur le moniteur de
l’ordinateur.
2 Connectez l’appareil photo à l’ordinateur.
3 Suivez les instructions à l’écran de l’ordinateur.

3 Enfoncez le déclencheur à mi-course pour faire la
mise au point sur le sujet.
Une fois la mise au point effectuée sur le sujet, l’appareil
verrouille l’exposition (la vitesse d’obturation et la valeur
d’ouverture s’affi chent) et le repère de mise au point
automatique (AF) devient vert.
Si le repère de mise au point automatique (AF) clignote en
rouge, cela signifi e que l’appareil photo n’a pas réussi à
faire la mise au point. Reprenez la mise au point.

4 Pour prendre la photo, enfoncez doucement le
déclencheur jusqu’au fond, en prenant soin de ne pas
secouer l’appareil photo.
Utiliser le fl ash
1 Sélectionnez l’option de fl ash dans le menu de
fonctions de prise de vue.
2 Utilisez HI pour sélectionner l’option de réglage,
puis appuyez sur la touche H pour valider.
Affi cher les photos
1 Appuyez sur la touche q.
2 Utilisez HI pour sélectionner une photo.
Effacer des photos pendant la
lecture (effacement d’image
simple)
1 Affi chez l’image à supprimer et appuyez sur G ( D).
2 Utilisez FG pour sélectionner [EFFACER], puis
appuyez sur la touche H.

Réglage de la date, de l’heure et du
fuseau horaire
1 Appuyez sur la touche n pour allumer l’appareil
photo.
L’écran de réglage de la date et de l’heure s’affi che si ces
dernières ne sont pas réglées.
2 Utilisez FG pour sélectionner l’année sous [A].
3 Appuyez sur I pour sauvegarder le réglage de [A].
4 Tout comme aux étapes 2 et 3, utilisez FGHI et la
touche H pour régler [M] (mois), [J] (jour), [HEURE]
(heures et minutes) et [A/M/J] (ordre des dates).
5 Utilisez HI pour sélectionner votre propre fuseau
horaire, et appuyez sur la touche H.
Utilisez FG pour activer et désactiver l’heure d’été
([ETE]).
Changer la langue d’affi chage
1 Affi chez le menu [REGLAGE].
2 Utilisez FG pour sélectionner l’onglet r
(Paramètres 1) puis appuyez sur I.
3 Utilisez FG pour sélectionner [W], puis appuyez
sur la touche H.
4 Utilisez FGHI pour sélectionner votre langue, puis
appuyez sur la touche H.
5 Appuyez sur la touche m.
Prendre des photos avec une
valeur d’ouverture et une vitesse
d’obturation optimales
[PROGRAM AUTO]
1 Appuyez sur la touche n pour allumer l’appareil
photo.
Si l’indicateur [PROGRAM AUTO] ne s’affi che pas,
appuyez sur la touche m pour affi cher le menu de
fonctions et réglez le mode prise de vue sur P.
Appuyez de nouveau sur la touche n pour
éteindre l’appareil photo.
2 Tenez l’appareil photo et cadrez la photo à prendre.

Instalación del software del
ordenador suministrado (ib)
Después de comprobar los requisitos del sistema, siga las
siguientes instrucciones para conectar la cámara a un ordenador
e instalar el software suministrado del ordenador (ib).

Windows Vista/Windows 7

Para más información sobre cómo utilizar el software

1 Inserte el CD suministrado en una unidad de CD-ROM.
Aparecerá una pantalla de instalación en el monitor del
ordenador.
2 Conecte la cámara al ordenador.
3 Siga las instrucciones que aparecen en la pantalla del
ordenador.

3 Presione el botón disparador hasta la mitad de su
recorrido para enfocar el objeto.
Cuando la cámara enfoca el objeto, se fi ja la exposición
(se muestran la velocidad del obturador y el valor de
apertura), y la marca de destino AF cambia de color al
verde.
Si la marca de destino AF parpadea en rojo, signifi ca
que la cámara no se ha podido enfocar. Intente volver a
enfocar.

4 Para tomar la fotografía, presione el botón disparador
suavemente hasta el fi nal de su recorrido con cuidado
de no mover la cámara.
Uso del fl ash
1 Seleccione el elemento del fl ash en el menú de
funciones de toma.
2 Use HI para seleccionar la opción de ajuste, y
presione el botón H para establecerlo.
Visualización de imágenes
1 Presione el botón q.
2 Use HI para seleccionar una imagen.

1 Visualice la imagen que desea borrar y presione G
( D).
2 Presione FG para seleccionar [BORRAR], y
presione el botón H.

Ajuste de la fecha, hora y zona
horaria
1 Presione el botón n para encender la cámara.
Cuando la fecha y la hora no están confi guradas, aparece
la pantalla de confi guración correspondiente.
2 Use FG para seleccionar el año [A].
3 Presione I para guardar la confi guración de [A].
4 Como en los Pasos 2 y 3, use FGHI y el botón H
para establecer [M] (mes), [D] (día), [HORA] (horas y
minutos) y [A/M/D] (orden de fecha).
5 Use H I para seleccionar la zona horaria y presione
el botón H.
Use FG para activar o desactivar el horario de verano
([VERANO]).
Cambio del idioma de la pantalla
1 Muestra el menú [CONFIGURAC.].
2 Use FG para seleccionar la pestaña r (Ajustes 1) y,
a continuación, presione I.
3 Use FG para seleccionar [W], y presione el
botón H.
4 Use FGHI para seleccionar el idioma, y presione
el botón H.
5 Presione el botón m.
Toma con valor de apertura y
velocidad de obturador óptimas
[PROGR. AUTO]
1 Presione el botón n para encender la cámara.
Si no se visualiza el indicador [PROGR. AUTO],
presione el botón m para mostrar el menú de
funciones y, a continuación ajuste el modo de toma
en P.
Pulse el botón n de nuevo para apagar la
cámara.
2 Apunte la cámara y encuadre la toma.
