The following figure shows the underside of the computer. Make sure the
display is closed before turning over your computer.

Modem Jack The modem jack allows you to use a modular
cable to connect the modem directly to a
telephone line.
To prevent possible over heating of the CPU, never block the fan vents.

Slide this latch to remove the battery pack.
Please note that this latch will not move if the
Battery Pack Lock is engaged.
Battery Pack Lock Slide this lock to unlock the battery pack,
allowing you to remove it by sliding the Battery
Pack Release Latch.
Battery Pack The battery pack powers the computer when the
AC adapter is not connected. For detailed
information on the battery pack, refer to
Chapter 6, Power and Power-Up Modes .
