Introduction

HW Setup

This program lets you customize your hardware

settings according to the way you work with your

computer and the peripherals you use. To start

the utility, double click the TOSHIBA Assist on

your desktop, select the OPTIMIZE tab, and click

TOSHIBA HW Setup.

DVD Video Player

The DVD Video Player is used to play DVD Video.

It has an on-screen interface and functions. Click

Start, point to All Programs, point to InterVideo

WinDVD, then click InterVideo WinDVD.

TOSHIBA Zooming

Utility

This utility allows you to enlarge or reduce the

icon size on the desktop or the application

window.
To run TOSHIBA Zooming Utility, click Start, select

All Programs followed by TOSHIBA followed by

Utilities and then click Zooming Utility.

TOSHIBA Disc

Creator

You can create CD's in several formats including

audio CD's that can be played on a standard

stereo CD player and data CD's to store the files

and folders on your hard disk drive.

TOSHIBA Direct Disc

Writer

TOSHIBA Direct Disc Writer is the packet writing

software which provides the function which writes

files and/or folders to CD-RW discs via a drive

letter like a floppy disk or other removable disks.

TOSHIBA PC

Diagnostic Tool

TOSHIBA PC Diagnostic Tool displays the basic

information on the computer's configuration and

allows some of the built-in devices functionality to

be tested. To start the TOSHIBA PC Diagnostic

Tool, click Start, point to All Programs, point to

TOSHIBA, and point to Utilities and click

PC Diagnostic Tool.

TOSHIBA ConfigFree ConfigFree is a suite of utilities to allow easy

control of communication device and network

connections. ConfigFree also allows you to find

communication problems and create profiles for

easy switching between location and

communication networks.
To run ConfigFree, click Start, select

All Programs followed by TOSHIBA followed by

Networking and then click ConfigFree.

TOSHIBA Touch Pad

On/Off Utility

Pressing Fn + F9 enables or disables the

TouchPad function. When you press these hot

keys, the current setting will change and be

displayed as an icon.
