Disconnecting the modem
When you need to disconnect the internal modem cable, follow the steps
below.
1. Pinch the connecting lever on the connector in the telephone wall jack
and pull out the connector.

2. Disconnect the cable from the computer.
Precautions and notes
Observe the following precautions and notes.
„ In case of a lightning storm, unplug the modem cable from the
telephone jack.
„ Speaker phone, answering machine and other voice functions are
supported only by the computer’s internal microphone and speaker.
„ When voice functions are used, other sound functions are muted.
„ Do not connect the modem to a digital telephone line. A digital line will
damage the modem.
