Notice When you set up the HEW Agent function, an Agent must meet the following
conditions.
The Node Name is IP reachable with TCP/IP and it is resolved by name
resolution.
The Node Name is the only name in the network.
When the Node Name is a host name or a DNS name, it is resolved by
name resolution with a DNS server or with a HOST in a machine that
installed the Management Console function or the Management Proxy
function.
When the Node Name is given with a NETBIOS name, the agent exists in
the same network segment as the Management Proxy and the
Management Console, or the Node Name is resolved by name resolution
with a WINS server or with a LMHOST in a machine that installed the
Management Console function or the Management Proxy function.
However, when the Agent is out of band, the Node Name is resolved by
name resolution with a WINS server or with a LMHOST in a machine that
installed the Management Console function or the Management Proxy
function.
