(2) Management Proxy
The Management Proxy collects fault reports from the Agent and stores them, and also
relays settings from the Management Console to the Agent. Collected fault information can
be sent by the e-mail or displayed by the Alert Message on the Management Console
machine. At least one Management Proxy machine is required in one system. And a
maximum of two Management Proxy machine can be set up in one system.
Two Management Proxy machines can be provided in a system so that one works as the
primary server and the other as the backup server for management of Agent information.
A computer that satisfies the requirements shown in the operating environment section can
be used a Management Proxy. The HEW Management Proxy must be installed for use as a
Management Proxy.
Notice Be sure to use a fixed IP address for the Management Proxy machine's IP
address.
