Make sure that you use paper that meets the
specifications. A rough surface or thick
media can cause the problem.
•
If you still have the same problem, replace
the drum unit with a new one.

Clean the printer interior and the primary
corona wire of the toner cartridge. See
“Cleaning the Printer Interior and Drum
Unit” in Chapter 5.
•
Make sure that the tab of the corona wire is
at the home position.
•
Remove the drum unit with the toner
cartridge installed. Hold it horizontally with
both hands and tap it firmly against a flat
surface 3 or 4 times.
If the same print problem occurs after cleaning,
replace the drum unit with a new one.
