cleaning

Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone

to clean the appliance.
Do not let water run into the appliance or spill water onto the appliance (Fig. 5).

1

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before you start to clean it.

Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth (Fig. 6).

replacement

Except for the tube lamps, the appliance does not contain any serviceable parts. The tube lamps

have to be replaced when they stop burning or after a period of 10,000 burning hours (i.e. after

many years of normal use). The tube lamps must be replaced with original Philips EnergyLight PL-L

36W tube lamps. Only these lamps provide the correct light intensity.

Have the tube lamps replaced by a service centre authorised by Philips. Only they have the

knowledge and skills required for this job and the original spare parts for the appliance.

Environment

Tube lamps contain substances that may pollute the environment. Always remove the tube

lamps before you discard and hand in the appliance at an official collection point. Dispose of the

tube lamps at an official collection point for chemical waste.

Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but

hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the

environment (Fig. 7).
