16. FLYWHEEL
16 This section covers the removal,
inspection, and installation
of the flywheel. Removal of
the starter and spark plug is
required. Refer to sections 6
and 8 if necessary.
16.1 Insert piston stop.
16.2 Remove flywheel nut, wave washer,
and plain washer.
16.3 Screw on flywheel removal tool finger
tight. Unscrew tool 1 ½ turns leaving
approximately 1/8 inch (5 mm) space
between tool and flywheel.
