Installing the ink cartridge
The ink cartridge contains the print head, which sprays ink onto the paper.
Treat it gently so you don’t damage its tiny nozzles (located under a bright
orange cap).

Open the printer by pulling down its front cover.

Raise the bright blue lever on the carrier.

Remove the cover from the plastic tub that contains an ink cartridge.
These instructions show the color cartridge being installed, but the process is
the same for either cartridge.

Remove the ink cartridge from the plastic tub, grasping the cartridge by its sides.

WARNING
The carrier holds the ink cartridge and moves it back and
forth when you are printing a document. When the printer is plugged in,
don’t slide the carrier by hand or you may damage the printer.
