Select the EXIF checkbox, then choose an EXIF field you want to search by from the
EXIF pop-up menu.

Choose an option from the middle pop-up menu to qualify your search.

Enter the EXIF value you want to search by in the EXIF text field.

Choose “any” from the Match pop-up menu, if it’s not already chosen.
The images that match the search criteria are immediately displayed in the Browser.

Searching by Import Session
At times, you may want to locate images that were imported at a specific time or date.
Aperture keeps track of your import sessions and can identify images that were
imported at the same time. To search for images based on their import session, you use
the Import Session search options.
To search for images by import session:

In the Projects panel, select a project or an album you want to search.

Show the Query HUD by doing one of the following:
 Choose Edit > Find (or press Command-F).
 Click the Query HUD button beside the search field in the Browser.

In the Query HUD, select the Import Session checkbox and select the checkbox for the
import group you want to search by.
Choose an EXIF field
to search by.
Select the EXIF checkbox.
Choose how you want to
qualify your search from
this pop-up menu.
Enter an EXIF value here.
Select the
Import Session
checkbox.
Select an import group.
