Disconnecting an external monitor
1. Make sure your computer is shut down.
If you disconnect the monitor while your computer is on, the
computer will turn itself off, and you will lose any information
you did not save.
(The computer will not sleep as long as you are using an
external monitor.)
2. Disconnect the video adapter from the video port on
the computer’s back panel. The video port is marked
with this icon:

Press the small buttons on both sides of the connector to
remove the video adapter from the port.
Press here to remove.
