Create a QuickTime Export Components setting
1 In the Settings tab, select a setting or create a new setting by choosing QuickTime Export
Components from the Create a New Setting (+) pop-up menu.
2 Choose QuickTime Export Components from the File Format pop-up menu.

Choose QuickTime
Export Components.
Click to see the options
for the encoder plug-in.
Choose an encoder plug-in.
If necessary, you can change the default settings:

Extension: This field indicates the file extension for the output format chosen from the Encoder
Type pop-up menu.

Allow Job Segmenting: This checkbox allows you to turn off job segmenting. It’s relevant only if
you’re using Compressor with distributed processing and with multi-pass encoding. For more
information, see
Job segmenting and two-pass or multi-pass encoding on page 249.
•
Encoder Type: Use this pop-up menu to choose from the available export component output
formats (plug-ins).
3 Click the Options button (if available).
