To set up your TCP/IP network connection, follow these steps:

Choose Control Panels from the Apple (
K
) menu.
The Control Panels window opens.

Double-click the TCP/IP icon to open it.
The TCP/IP control panel opens.

Use the “Connect via” pop-up menu to choose the port by which your computer is
connected to the network.

Use the Configure pop-up menu to choose a configuration method.
If you are connected using Ethernet, the pop-up menu looks like this:
See your network administrator or Internet service provider for detailed
instructions on configuring your TCP/IP connection.
