6.4 Cleaning the pipette clamp
The parts of the pipette clamp can be replaced or cleaned as follows.
Requirement
Easypet is disassembled (see p. 15).
1. Replace the part if necessary.
2. Clean the part if necessary. Autoclave the aspirating cone and the pipette adapter at 121°C,
1 bar overpressure for 20 min if necessary. Then allow to dry at room temperature.
Aspirating cone

Can be wiped with a moist cloth

Can be disinfected with alcohol (ethanol,
propanol) or with a disinfectant containing
alcohol

Can be steam autoclaved multiple times
Pipette adapter

Can be rinsed with demineralized water

Can be steam autoclaved multiple times

Can be steam autoclaved once

Dispose of if contaminated

Alternatively, you can also use a membrane filter with a pore size of 0.2 μm, for
example, type Minisart SRP from Sartorius stedim.
