OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the real flame GAMTorch™, check the
safety release latch to ensure it’s working properly.
TO CHECK SAFETY RELEASE LATCH [4]:
Pull down Flame Containment Sleeve [4] and hold
Safety Release Latch [5] over Latch Button [7] on
handle. Fire Chamber [3] should remain in the ex-
posed position as long as safety release latch is
held. Release Safety Release Latch [5] and observe
that the Flame Containment Sleeve [4] completely
shrouds the Fire Chamber [3] and the Containment
Lid [1] snaps over the top of the Fire Chamber [3].
This action is instant, taking less than one second.
IF SAFETY RELEASE LATCH IS MALFUNCTION-
ING, DO NOT USE THE GAMTORCH! CONTACT
GAMPRODUCTS, INC. FOR SERVICE.
Only after checking that the Safety Release Latch [5]
is functioning properly, proceed to load GAMFuel™
pellets into the Fire Chamber [3]. Load one to four
pellets, depending on size of flame and duration
desired. Do not load more pellets than needed. Be
sure to hold down Safety Release Latch [5] while
loading Fire Chamber [3]. After loading Fire Cham-
ber [3], secure GAMFuel™ pellets with Retaining
Spring [2]. Refer to detail drawing on right. Con-
ceal the chamber by releasing the Safety Release
Latch [5]. The GAMTorch™ is now loaded and
ready for use.

To insure that the GAMFuel™
pellets stay in place, insert retain-
ing spring [2] so that it is flush
with top of fire chamber.

YOU ARE HANDLING REAL FIRE WHEN YOU USE THE
GAMTORCH™! USE CAUTION AT ALL TIMES!
Be aware of automatic fire sprinkler heads that may
be in the area. Always be careful not to get flame
too close to costumes, scenery, people’s hair or oth-
er flammable objects. Use the GAMTorch™ only in
approved venues where all safety precautions con-
cerning fire are observed, and permits have been
obtained (if applicable). Use only where there is
proper ventilation and exhaust. The GAMTorch™ is
intended for professional use only.
When you are ready to use the GAMTorch™, slide the
Flame Containment Sleeve [4] down and grip the Safe-
ty Release Latch [5] firmly. Be sure to hold the Safety
Release Latch [5] over Latch Button [7]. Use a lighter or
match to ignite the GAMFuel™ in the Fire Chamber [3].
Long fireplace matches or ‘extended’ matches are ideal
for this purpose. Light the GAMTorch™ approximately 30
seconds before a full flame is desired.
GAMFuel™ pellets will burn for approximately 15
minutes, depending on the ventilation conditions
and flame height can be as much as 16 in (40 cm).
Exercise extreme caution when in use! Dispose of
spent fuel pellets carefully, making sure they are fully
extinguished. Dump fuel pellets in pan with a small
amount of water before disposal. Store GAMFuel™
pellets at temperatures below 155o F (68o C).
