Installation Technical Advisory
Katun Digital Organic Photoconductor (OPC) Drum
for use in
Sharp AR-405 Digital Copier/Printers (DC/Ps)
To ensure you receive optimum performance and maximum life with this Katun digital OPC drum, it
is important to perform all OEM recommended drum replacement and adjustment procedures in the
proper sequence. For your convenience, below is a summary of the OEM-recommended procedures:
1.
Perform simulation 44-01 and confirm all image forming functions are enabled
(standard value = 3).
2.
Perform simulation 44-04 and confirm the target image density level is set to 38.
3.
Perform simulation 24-07 and reset the drum correction counter.
4.
Perform simulation 24-04 and reset the maintenance counter.
5.
Clean the drum mark and image density sensors then perform simulation 44-02 automatic
adjustment of drum mark and image density sensors.
6.
Perform simulation 44-05 and confirm patch-forming parameters are at standard levels.
7.
Perform simulation 46-02 to adjust exposure (copy density) levels as detailed in your OEM
service manual.
