5– Once the back plate is loose from the throttle body and cylinders slide the hose clamp on the crankcase breather hose away from the back plate
with a pair of pliers and remove the crankcase breather hose. Picture 6 illustrates the crankcase breather hose. The back plate will now be free
from the motorcycle.
6– With the stock air cleaner back plate sitting on your work bench, remove the Phillips head screw holding the intake air temperature sensor to
the back plate. Remove the intake air temperature sensor from the back plate making certain that the o-ring stays on the intake air temperature
sensor. Set the intake air temperature sensor off to the side, you will need to install this into the S&S back plate later. Picture 7 Illustrates the
location of the intake air temperature sensor.
7– Remove the hose and the hose clamps from the air switching valve that is pointed out in Picture 8. The stock hose clamps will be used later
once the S&S supplied hose is installed.
