2. SETUP RECEIVE
Function Description Factory Set Chapter
1. RING DELAY Number of rings before the 02 5
machine answers in Fax/Tel
(F/T) or Fax Mode.
2. F/T RING TIME Sets the time for “F/T pseudo- 30 5
ring” in Fax/Tel (F/T) Mode.
3. FAX DETECT Receive fax messages without ON 5
pressing the Start key.
4. REMOTE CODE Enter a code to activate or OFF 5
deactivate your machine from a ( 51, #51)
remote location.
5. REDUCTION Reduces size of image. AUTO 5
6. MEM. RECEIVE Automatically stores any ON 5
incoming faxes in its memory
if it runs out of paper.
7. PRINT DENSITY Adjusts printing to be lighter or -- 5
darker.
8. POLLING RX You call another fax machine to -- 5
receive a fax from it.
9. TONER SAVE Increase life of toner cartridge. OFF 5

4. RESOLUTION Allows you to change STANDARD 6
resolutions page by page.
5. OVERSEAS MODE Special setting for international OFF 6
transmissions.
6. CALL RESERVE You can send a fax, then speak OFF 6
to the person operating the
other fax machine or print a
sample call back message.
7. TIMER Set the machine to send your -- 6
documents later.
