Note: For sliding suspension trailers, route all cables along the vehicle’s existing umbilical
harness to avoid damage when the slider is moved.
Note: Trailers manufactured prior to 1998 do not have an auxiliary power line populated within
the 7 pin connector box at the front of the trailer. The auxiliary power is usually on a blue pin/line
and would run the length of the trailer. For trailers manufactured prior to 1998, the aux power
cable must be installed before the SmarTire
™
harness can be properly connected at the rear.
This can be a time-consuming process and should be assessed before the installation of a
SmarTire
™ trailer system.
