Part 2 (Steps 1-7 are illustrated in the previous page)
Part 2 must be completed without stopping. An incomplete unlock may result in the
need to send the PCM to the Bully Dog facilities.
1. Locate the OEM 3 Plug Connector to disconnect so the Unlock Cable 3 Plug
connector can be plugged in. The OEM 3 Plug Connector is located on the back side
of the intake charge tube going to the manifold (on the drivers side). Disconnect the
OEM 3 Plug Connector
• Lift up on the plug lock and disconnect the OEM 3 Plug Connector.
2. Plug in the Bully Dog Unlock Cable 3 Plug Connector into the OEM 3 Plug Connector.
3. Route the Bully Dog Unlock Cable 3 Plug Connector
• Route the Unlock Cable 3 Plug Connector from the engine bay to the cab through
the driver window. Do NOT run it through the firewall. It will only be used once in
Part 2 and will be disconnected in Part 3.
4. Connect the Unlock Cable 3 Plug connector to the Unlock Cable OBD II harness.
• Plug the Mini USB connection into the Unlock Cable OBDII Harness USB plug insert
5. Unplug the stock OBDII Harness (without red tag) and plug in the Unlock Cable OBDII
harness (with red tag).
• Find your vehicles’ diagnostic port (OBDII) under the dash and connect the Unlock
Cable OBDII Harness.
6. Plug in the GT HDMI into the Unlock Cable OBDII harness.
7. Slide the switch on the adapter plug to “BATT”.
8. Follow the instructions on your GT screen.
• You will need to turn your key to different positions
and the choose “continue”.
• Do NOT start the engine when turning the key to the
“run” (or “on”) position at any other time during the Unlock process.
• Part 2 must be completed without stopping. An incomplete unlock may result in the
need to send in the PCM.

When Part 2 is complete and the on screen instructions prompt you, unplug the
Bully Dog Unlock OBDII harness as well as the Unlock Cable 3 Plug connector and
reconnect the OEM 3 Plug Connector.
During Part 2, use the Bully Dog Unlock cable OBDII Harness
and Unlock Cable 3 Plug connector which have red tags.
