Installation
6. Wipe the contacts with a clean, lint-free alcohol soaked
cloth.
7. Dry the contacts with a clean dry cloth.
Please verify that BOTH sides of the connector were cleaned thoroughly� Improper cleaning is the
most common reason that Bully Dog chips fail or work incorrectly�
FAILURE TO CLEAN THE CONNECTOR CORRECTLY CAN VOID YOUR WARRANTY
Stage 5: Installing the Switch Chip
NOTE: If you have a single program chip, you will not have a cable�
1. Slide the switch connector cable into the chip.
• Be sure to follow the proper orientation of the chip. (the circuit
board of the chip and the switch cable on the larger side of the
J3 port opening.
• Here is the Chip properly installed with the correct orientation.
Note the position of the switch cable in the larger side of the J3
port.
