8. Install the Cross Member Pipe
ensuring that the pipe follows the
bend of the truck’s cross member.
You may need to cut the Cross Mem-
ber Pipe to ensure that it fits over
the cross member and line up with the muffler and
the catalytic converter. Or you may need to install the
straight pipe and cut to fit, the straight pipe may be
install before or after the cross member piece depend-
ing on the application.. Keep in mind that you need 3
inches of overlap when you cut the pipe.
9. Once the entire exhaust system is installed, inspect the
system to ensure that no part of the exhaust is in direct contact with the chassis or body; adjustments may be neces-
sary. Having any part of the exhaust system in direct contact with any part of the body or chassis will the cause the
exhaust to rattle.
10. Return to each of the Clamps and tighten with a 9/16” wrench. Again do not over tighten
Clamps.
