The Laser Dimension Master

(LDM) has three operating modes. Select

the desired mode by moving the switch located on the front, above the
“ON” key.

1) Measure Only (no laser)

Move switch to middle.

2) Measure with Laser Aimer

Move switch to far left.

3) Laser Pointer Only

Move switch to far right.

Note: Always use caution when operating with the Laser.

a. Select “Measure Only” Mode.
b. Aim the front of the

LDM at the target (e.g., wall). Hold the unit

perpendicular to the target surface.

c. Press and release the “ON” button. The

LDM will beep once when the

“ON” button is pressed and twice when a valid measurement is
received.

Note:

LDM is equipped with a “swivel” head to permit easy floor to ceiling
and wall to wall measurements.

(Measure Only/No Laser)

OPERATING MODES

HOW TO OPERATE

a.

Select “Measure with Laser” Mode. Aim the

LDM at the target.

b.

Press the “ON” button to activate the laser beam, and aim the laser (

note:

laser is located on upper face of unit, above ultrasonic sensor) at the
target. Release the “ON” button when ready to measure. The unit will
beep once when the “ON” button is released and twice when a valid
measurement is received.

Select “Laser Only” Mode. Aim
the laser at your target (

note:

laser is located on upper face of
unit, above ultrasonic sensor),
and press the “ON” key.

1.

Never aim laser beam at a person’s eyes.

2.

Do not leave product unattended or let an unauthorized person or child
use the product.

3.

Do not expose others to the laser beam and assure they do not look
directly into the beam.

4.

Do not aim at mirror-like surfaces

If an “E” appears on the display, it means the ultrasonic signal is not being
reflected correctly, or you are aiming at a range beyond its capabilities (range
is up to a maximum of 50 feet or 15.2 meters).

To conserve battery life, your display will clear six (6) seconds after a reading.

1. To clean your

LDM use a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse in, or spray

with water. Avoid all liquid or abrasive cleaners.

2. The electronic module in your

LDM was sealed after factory calibration;

therefore, no user seviceable parts or adjustments are required.

3. Your

LDM is temperature compensated. However, small variations in

accuracy may occur with changes in altitude and humidity. These
variations typically can be ignored for estimating purposes.

4. If moved from one temperature environment to another, allow the

LDM

time to adjust to the surrounding air temperature before operating.

5. When measuring, make sure you are no less than two feet (61cm) from

your target. A shorter distance will give a false reading.

6. An object in the path of the measuring beam can cause a false reading.

Simply move the

LDM above or to the side of the obstruction.

Le Laser Dimension Master (LDM) est pourvu de trois modes de
fonctionnement. Le mode est sélectionné en déplaçant l’interrupteur situé
sur l’avant de l’appareil, au-dessus de l’interrupteur d’allumage.

FONCTIONNEMENT

a.

Sélectionner le mode « Measure with Laser » (mesure au laser). Pointer le
LDM vers la cible.

b.

pivotante pointe
vers le haut, les

mesures sont
prises depuis

l’arrière de

l’appareil.
