Send a text message

1. Press

to open the main menu.

2. Press or until

SMS

is displayed, then press

.

3. Press or until

Write

is displayed, then press

.

4. If this is your first message,

Write Msg

is displayed.

If you have sent a message previously, this message will be
displayed. Press and hold

to delete the existing

message.

5. Use the keypad to write your message then press

.

6. Either enter the number you want to send to using the

keypad and select

.

Or, press

to open the phonebook and scroll

or

to search for the name you want and select

.

7. Press

again to send the message.

is

displayed, then

.

At any time, press

to go back to

the previous screen, or press

repeatedly to cancel and return to

standby.
In order to send and receive text

messages you must not withhold your

number. On most networks if you

normally withhold your number the

1470 prefix presents your number

for you.

Press

to delete incorrect

characters/digits.
To enter a space, press .
To change from lower to upper case,

press .

Receiving a call while writing
a text

If you are writing a text and you

receive a call the text will be lost.

Problems sending

If there is a problem sending a

message the display shows

Send Fail

and the handset returns to standby.
